Control design of next-generation, galvanically isolated DC-DC converters

Our research delves into the design process of next-generation, galvanically isolated DC-DC converters, where my role is centered around their control design. The primary objective is to generate the switching signals for the converter switches through a successful control strategy. The strategy will be formulated with several key considerations in mind, such as soft switching, preventing saturation of magnetic components, improved efficiency and increased power density.

The results of this research will contribute significantly to the broader electrification initiative, which is a key strategy in reducing the global dependency on fossil fuels and moving towards more sustainable and efficient energy systems. The advancements in DC-DC converter technology brought about by this research could result in favorable outcomes in various sectors, including electric transportation and renewable energy generation.
