This research focuses on circular economy in built environment and supports Hiedanranta brownfield development project in Tampere. The overall idea in circular economy is to prevent waste extraction of virgin materials by sustaining the value of produced goods as long as possible.

The goal in my work is to find practices for successful urban development project that simultaneously helps forward circular economy innovations. It call for applying novel technologies and cross-sectoral co-operation that cause changes in design and planning system. Outcome of the work will be concept for experimental urban development that the stakeholders can accept.
